Configure MS-PocketPC/WinCE

Make sure the modem is installed according to the manufacturers instructions and that its power supply is securely attached. Please also ensure that it has been correctly connected to the correct telephone line or cellular modem.

From the toolbar, tap on Start then Programs then Communication and Connections.

Tap on the Make New Connection icon. Any other icons in the Dial-Up Networking window can be ignored as Scorpion Internet will co-exist with most other services.

The Dial-Up Networking window will appear. Type in a name for your connection and choose Dial-Up Connection.

Tap the Next button.

The first box contains the model of your modem. If it does not display the correct modem, please install the modem referring to its supplied documentation to ensure it is correctly installed.
Although settings may vary based on different modems from different manufacturers, pressing the Configure button will display the current settings. If connection difficulties are subsequently experienced, the most ideal choice for the settings is dependent on the actual hardware that may be present. Please check with the hardware supplier if in doubt or if connection problems persist.

Depending on how you intend to connect, you may have to enter some network TCP/IP settings. Press the TCP/IP Settings button. If available, please select the Server Assigned IP Address option. Enter the IP Address 212.84.173.66 for the Primary DNS and enter the IP Address 212.84.173.82 for the Secondary DNS.

Tap the Next button.

Enter the telephone number 0845 003 7777 in the Telephone Number box:

Tap the Finish button to exit the Connection Wizard.

Tap the My Connection or equivalent named icon:

Tap the Dial Properties:

Tap the Edit:

Enter G for each of the Dialling Patterns and tap on OK:

You should enter your given UserID and Password in the boxes shown without the brackets which are only shown for illustrative purposes:
